East Coast Storm Thoughts
The east coast storm Sunday and Monday will produce widespread heavy snow, especially inland form the shore. There will be some colder air coming into the storm, however mixing (or mainly rain) will be a problem in most of the major cities. I think the heaviest area of snow will be in the 12-18" stripe from northern New Jersey to northern Mass. due to a moist flow off the ocean, 700MB low moving right over that area, and the mountains could cause locally up to 15" of snow. Tomorrow when the models start deciding on a solution I may fine-tune my thinking. Questions? jim0992@sbcglobal.net
